The City of Winnipeg is beginning community consultations for three pedestrian and cycling projects. Public input is a key component of these projects which include pedestrian and cycling improvements for communities in downtown, West Alexander and northwest Winnipeg. The locations to be studied include:
Project #1: Downtown Bike Lane System - Connecting the Forks to the Exchange District (Fort St., Garry St. & Forks to Assiniboine Ave Connection)
Project #2: West Alexander Pedestrian and Cycling Corridor – Connecting McPhillips Street to Sherbook Street
Project #3: Northwest Hydro Corridor Pedestrian and Cycling Path
Join us at a booth in the Ciclovia Bike Zone (Broadway between Osborne & Memorial) to ask questions and learn more about a number of opportunities to provide input on these projects.
Starts at noon in the Bike Zone.

What is the Soap Box Derby, exactly?
It’s aceartinc.’s annual end of summer fundraiser and it’s an opportunity for artists and speed enthusiasts to build crazy creations to race in an old-fashioned soap box derby (think Norman Rockwell meets Bjork). The race takes place on Broadway Avenue as part of the Ciclovia Festival and Manyfest. Awards are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams as well as a special prize for Best Dressed Team. In addition, ace holds a Grand Raffle during the entire festival weekend.
Last year’s event had dozens of participants sweat it out on the raceway with their hand-crafted soap box cars, while over 500 spectators cheered them on. The weekend’s festivities drew over 30,000 attendees in 2014.
Registration for the Soap Box Derby is now closed. We'll see you September 13!
After that is filled out, send your completed package to email@example.com
For those who aren’t keen to race, have no fear! You can support aceartinc. by participating in our Grand Raffle and 50/50 draw! www.aceart.org/soapbox
